Administrative structure of SFR Nyria

Back to main page

Nyria is a federal nation divided into eretzim (singular eretz; ืขืจืฅ, plural ืขืจืฆื™ื). An eretz functions the same as a state or oblast does in other countries. Each eretz may choose different words to describe itself, such as state, republic, or city.

Most eretzim are divided into rrayonim (singular rrayon; ๏ญˆื™ื•ืŸ, plural ๏ญˆื™ื•ื ื™ื). A rrayon functions the same as a county or district in other countries. Some eretzim are not divided into rrayonim due to their small size or population, acting as a single rrayon. In Milonaia, rrayonim are called mitsy (singular mits; ะผั–ั†, plural ะผั–ั†ั‹). In Slimlimland, rrayonim are called lฤ—nis (singular lฤ—n).

Each rrayon is divided into komunot (singular komunah; ื›ื•ืžื•ื ื”, plural ื›ื•ืžื•ื ื•ืช). A komunah functions the same as a city or town in other countries. There are two types of komunot: midinot (singular midinah; ืžื™ื“ื™ื ื”, plural ืžื™ื“ื™ื ื•ืช), which function like cities in other countries, and kfurim (singular kfur; ื›ืคื•ืจ, plural ื›ืคื•ืจื™ื), which function like villages in other countries. Midinah status is not related to population, and eretzim have to manually appoint kfurim to become midinot.

Some komunot serve as the administrative centre or yedinah (plural yedinot; ๏ฌื™ื“ื™ื ื”, plural ๏ฌื™ื“ื™ื ื•ืช) of Nyria, an eretz, or a rrayon. Some komunot are reโ€™ishim (singular reโ€™ish; ืจืขื™ืฉ, plural ืจืขื™ืฉื™ื), meaning a special permit is required to enter them.
