Nyria (English and German; Maqav: נרּיה; Russian: Нерия; pronounced [ˈnə.ri.a], [ˈnɜ.ri.a], or [ˈnɛ.ri.a]), officially the Socialist Federal Republic of Nyria, is an interdimensional Svobodshchina nation and member of GAIC/GEPO. It shares naval borders with Padlia and Kerguelen in its home dimension, the NPK. Nyria gained independence on 12 June 1935 from the Ossetian SSR, though 12 June 1940, the day Lesbianmore became Nsi and renamed the country Nyria, is officially cited as the true independence day. It is a federal nation made up of 159 eretzim. Maqav is the primary language of the country used for communication between peoples. Additionally, over 80 other languages are spoken by other ethnic groups, such as German, the language of the Popis, who make up about ⅖ of the country, and Smaragdine. Wisslersheim in the Innenstadt Rrayon of Nordnowoburg is the yedinah (capital) of the country, while Athjüv in Smaragdyn is the largest komunah.
Etymology
The word “Nyria” comes from the Maqav word “נְרּ” (nrr), meaning “peace”. The country is called “נְרּיַה” (Nrryah) in Maqav, and the English word “Nyria” derives from this.
History
Siqqethic Period
356: Siqêϑy appears for the first time in the area north of the Qeli. The small existing communities gather around Them. Siqêϑy and Their followers found the city of Îrv’hlomi (modern Siqqeli: Îrav’qlom) north of the Qeli. The first Siqqelist religious scriptures are created in the following years, detailing Siqêϑy’s “dedication to the people”.
357: Siqêϑy travels eastwards along the Qeli, along with a small group of Siqqeli people who settle in new towns (today Ihjahav, Lower Mīkdostan and Feraqoso, Co̊qelistan). The people in these settlements then develop into the Mīkdo and Co̊qeli peoples. Ḱoleq B’ndîkti (Doctor Benedikt) gains notoriety in Siqqelostan as a friend of Siqêϑy, for which He is named the Lord of Fire by Them.
359: Siqêϑy starts Their famous journey to Milonaia. At the same time, Siqqeli people found more cities such as Bortâ and Qanaket. The term Siq-Êlolant (Siqqelostan) is used for the first time to describe the areas inhabited by the Siqqeli people in Central Southern Nyria. Mīkdo and Co̊qeli begin to diverge as separate languages from Siqqeli.
360: The Siqqeli people begin their exploration of lands to the west of Siqqelostan and along the Hink. Some Siqqeli communities settle in these areas of what becomes Hinkelistan, founding cities such as Fött’ha (Êfft) and Jîh’ref (later renamed Sankt Jo). After this follows the expansion towards Hinkel Lake, where cities such as Sackenberg (the only Siqqethic-age city in modern Jo-Siqqelostan) and G’raʃʃ Ḱin’qal are founded.
361: Siqêϑy arrives in Milonaia. They travel along the west bank of the Ögjulure River until reaching the forested north of Milonaia. Siqêϑy meets a man named Mökh-mjel-an in a clearing, appointing Him the eternal sêron of Milonaia in exchange for valuable resources of the land, such as gold and local crops. Siqêϑy then begins Their return to Siqqelostan. In Siqqelostan, the Book of Siqêϑy is written, which becomes the first book in the Üvra. It details Siqêϑy’s appearance and early actions prior to the journey to Milonaia. During Siqêϑy’s journey to Milonaia, B’ndîkti also goes on a journey to Roppare.
363: The first known mention of Hinkelism as a separate religion from Siqqelism is made in Âso’s “The lands past Siqqelostan”; “And in the lands further up along the Ḱin’q [Hink], the people have started to doubt Siqêϑy and believe in their own leader [god], whom they have named Ḱin’qal”. A meeting is held by B’ndîkti, along with another close friend of Siqêϑy’s, Djûr’x Juli (Wise Juli), and many important figures such as the writers Âso and Ḱaneq, the warlord Qaneʃ, and friends of Siqêϑy Miljo and Markêo. The meeting results in more power to B’ndîkti as the Lord of Fire and the appointment of Juli as the Lord of Water. Qaneʃ’s army is told to travel northwest to fight the Ḱin’qals (Hinkelists).
364: Siqêϑy returns to Siqqelostan through the Hink, describing the people as “insistent in their own teachings completely detached from the ones we have become accustomed to [Siqqelism]”. After Their return to Îrv’hlomi, the Siqqeli people write down Siqêϑy’s tales from Milonaia in the Book of Mökh-mjel-an, the second book of the Üvra.
365: Siqêϑy wakes up to the sight of Îrv’hlomi almost entirely burnt down. They discover B’ndîkti as the culprit and send Miljo and Markêo to warn the people of further threats posed by Him. Siqêϑy is met by a mysterious man named Gustâ (Guster), who provides Them with various creatures He has created. Siqêϑy gains several creatures, Their weapons Cy’ʃtokki (Caubr’ʃtok), Cy’ʃ’oʃti (Caubr’psolâ), and the Siʃt’ni (Siʃtân), and a special bag of dough that later develops into Their ally B’tr (Brosît). Qaneʃ returns to Îrv’hlomi to stop B’ndîkti despite the still ongoing war against the Hinkelists. Siqêϑy and Juli fight several battles with B’ndîkti, until He is eventually defeated and retreats. These events are later written in the Book of Siqi, the third book of the Üvra. Miljo and Markêo gain prophet status for their warnings made to the Siqqeli people.
368: Markêo is executed for breaking the laws imposed by Siqêϑy.
369: Followers of Siqêϑy find B’ndîkti hiding in G’raʃʃ Ḱin’qal. They accuse Him of treason against Siqêϑy, destruction of Îrv’hlomi, and collaboration with the Hinkelists. They hide in the city for several days, noting B’ndîkti’s actions before killing Him and returning to Îrv’hlomi.
371–389: The Tale of Benedikt is written in 13 parts as a story of a group of friends defeating an evil force. It is later added as the fifth book of the Üvra.
374: The Book of Bâl is written as a tale of heroism mirroring that of Siqêϑy, later being added as the fourth book of the Üvra.
376: Siqqelostan expands southwards, founding the cities of Ḱaḱtên and Fretriʃtatt. Hinkelistan reaches the Hink River in the north, founding the cities of Sprauten and Lassenheim. Mīkdostan and Co̊qelistan also expand.
379: The last known written accord from Siqêϑy. Their death is theorised to occur in this year.
382: Juli’s death can be dated to the summer of 382.
First Dark Period
Between the Siqqethic Period and the Republic Period, approximately from the year 400 to the year 900, few records of the situation in Nyria exist. It is known that settlements exist in the southeast, as well as on Smaragdyn, in Tssawaqia, in several spots across western Nyria, along the northern coast, and on Čivüla. Records from Milonaia suggest that some Siqqeli people travel the same route as Siqêϑy to spread the completed version of the Üvra. Siqqelostan, Mīkdostan, Co̊qelistan, and Hinkelistan are established as sovereign states during this time.
Republic Period
844: The First Mīkdo–Co̊qeli War begins after Co̊qeli officials claim Mīkdostan as part of their territory.
846: Co̊qeli forces retreat from Mīkdostan after the failed Siege of Bübk’avka.
860: Uk’entar takes the leadership in Mīkdostan.
864: The Republic of Emeraldia is established in the central part of Smaragdyn.
867: The Second Mīkdo–Co̊qeli War lasts seven months before Co̊qeli forces are pushed outside the borders of Mīkdostan.
872: Emeraldia now occupies the entire island.
901: Emeraldian settlers under the leadership of Cecilia the Great arrive on the southern coast of Padlia.
923: The first documents mentioning the Republic of Ķikera as an established political entity are dated to this year. Other documents also suggest several city states along the northern coast outside Ķikera’s borders.
924: Emeraldian settlements are made in mainland Nyria.
925: Mīkdostan defeats the Co̊qeli army and a peace treaty is established between the two countries.
927: The Kingdom of Ztyla is founded in central Nyria and expands to the central coast, where the first clashes with the Shyktars occur.
929: Ķikeran diplomats travel through western Nyria, taking note of the Republic of Lorezhia, the Republic of Setohsa, and the “peoples of the five villages” (the Vilafuvē people).
933: Hinkelistan invades and annexes Siqqelostan, implementing a Hinkelisation policy on the Siqqeli people.
939: Hinkelistan takes control of the lands inhabited by the Feraian people, implementing a similar Hinkelisation policy.
943: Qanaðian settlements on the east coast are established.
954: Hinkelistan gains Kôshka, and the cities of Lépelin and Tébelo from the Shyktars.
956: The Republic of Asarqita is established in southern Nyria, claiming large amounts of land between the Hink and the southern coast.
960: The Feraian people in eastern Hinkelistan write a long document detailing Feraian independence from Hinkelistan and establish the Republic of Feraia.
976: Hrmians migrate from the Parallelinseln to southern Nyria, settling in Ranü-Xačar.
978: Čivüli reach mainland Nyria, clashing with the Hrmians in Ranü-Xačar. Another group of Čivüli settlers sails southwestwards to Tyxys.
982: Ztyla dissolves after continued Shyktar attacks.
983: The Tomdaks settle along the Yinmin north of Emeraldia.
997: The Vilafuvē tribal armies besiege the cities of Setohsa and the nation is dissolved and put under the control of tribal leaders. At the same time, Gyodija establishes a government after pushing out Vilafuvē forces.
1016: Näəterians arrive at E’omor–Jomur and settle the area together with already present Emeraldian communities.
1017: Georgians arrive at E’omor–Jomur after they discover the Southern Ocean portal, bringing back knowledge of its existence to Europe upon their return.
1019: Hrmians fully push the Čivüli out of mainland Nyria.
1020: The Nedr culture and Eomorist religion develop in E’omor–Jomur.
1021: The first contact between Tssawaqians and other Nyrian cultures since the First Dark Period is made as Ķikeran explorers visit their Northern Nyrian brothers in the far north.
1022: Hinkelistan collapses after continued rebellions in Siqqelostan, Feraia, and Shyktar-inhabited Hinkelistan. Siqqelostan regains its independence while Feraia fails to establish a government.
1026: The first Shyktar government is established after the tribal administrations of Central Shyktaria, Karxefshýta, Tébelo-Lépelin, Slīma, Kôshka, Lypapíle, Aaf, and Tétshenyka reach a unification agreement.
1039: Ķikeran explorers note that the Republic of Lorezhia “is seemingly no longer functional” after another exploration in western Nyria.
1051: The Republic of Emeraldia loses control of the areas in mainland Nyria and Padlia, leaving only Smaragdyn.
1053: Georgians arrive in Padlia. The kingdoms of Patuma, Poliora, Ubizo-Larova, Hezqor, Jamaghetti, Trexta, Hagha, Roiola, and Zutha are established.
1065: The Republic of Asarqita abolishes its government.
Starting 1067, records from the previously Emeraldian east Nyria (today Svirna’izjumerija, Nedarija, and Yiminograd) can be found in both Medieval Emeraldian (later modern Smaragdine) and Näəterian (later Nedr).
1083: Nedrs, Emeraldians, and Padlians adopt Orthodoxy from the Georgians. Only E’omor–Jomur keeps the Eomorist faith.
1087: Siqqeli explorers describe the people of Mīkdostan and Co̊qelistan as “no longer adhering to our shared beliefs [Siqqelism]”.
1094: Hinkelist missionaries fail to convert the Co̊qeli people to Hinkelism.
1118: Ķukik II dies with no successor, resulting in the dissolution of the Republic of Ķikera.
Second Dark Period
Between the Republic Period and the Colonial Period, approximately from the year 1115 to the year 1715, few records of the situation in Nyria exist. It is known that European contact is common in this period; Greeks and Dutch come to Smaragdyn and Padlia, Padlia unifies in the 14ᵗʰ century, the Empire of Smaragdyn is established in 1804, and Hinkelistan, Siqqelostan, Mīkdostan, and Co̊qelistan maintain their independence.
Colonial Period
1821: A joint Russian–Ossetian–German exploration is made to Nyria, settling in the northern and central parts of the continent. German becomes the primary language for European Nyrians. Protestantism is introduced and adopted by the Ķikerans and the Shyktars.
1844: An Abkhaz exploration is made to Nyria, settling on Tyxys.
1849: All colonies in Nyria are placed under the control of the Russian Empire.

1880: Nyrian Russians found the cities of Diamograd i Novaya Kaluga east of Jimson.
1890: Eastern Shyktar culture centred in Karxefshýta and Peasháaf disappears after continued Ossetian and German colonisation of the area.
1893: Hungarians from Felvidék settle in Northeastern Nyria (modern Laulabánság).
1914–1918: Nyrian soldiers are not involved in the First World War, but the region experiences economic and political instability due to disruptions in the Russian Empire.
1917: Following the Russian Revolution, the Russian Empire collapses. Nyria becomes a contested territory between Bolshevik and anti-Bolshevik forces during the early Russian Civil War.
1922: Nyria becomes part of the newly formed Soviet Union under the Ossetian SSR.

1939–1945: Soldiers from Nyria volunteer to fight with the Red Army during the Second World War.
Transitional Period
1935: Nyria gains independence as the Republic of Popistan under President Leonid Asgard. Its former ruler, the Soviet Union, is the first country to recognise this. The Ossetian colonial government is kept in charge as the Transitional Government of Nyria. Nyria’s borders are established as “the whole Nyrian continent with the exception of Setohsa, Vilafuvē, and Geodia [Gyodija], Panonia, the Emerald Isles, and the lands north of the established Ķikeran roads [Tssawaqia and Esaqorqafia].” The states of Nyria upon its formation are Rhenia, Chovery, Cisvyshtia, Cube Gallery, Dsarich, Feraia, Garimia, Üscherland, Kôshka, Latsiania, Lorezhia, Memorial Park, Nether Village, Nû-Endaeriê, Neuwestfalen, Dexa, Shakhtaria, Shapria, Central Shyktaria, Southern Hinkelistan, Tarafia, Gashia, and Town Centre. The Nordküste, Qeligrad, Ranü-Xačar, the Usoxai, and Vajiße are given the status of “stateless area”. Slīma is incorporated a week later. Nowoburg is created by the merger of 15 smaller cities near Mäzdäck to house the new capital. “Special districts” are implemented as an autonomous subdivision type between states and districts, often split between multiple states. The following special districts are established: Co̊qelistan (within Qeligrad), Fxaralja (within Ranü-Xačar), Gint (within Cisvyshtia), Gzapsilia (within Feraia, Memorial Park, Shakhtaria, and Central Shyktaria), Haffnalich (within Nordküste), Hrm-Rme (within Ranü-Xačar), Jarharat (within Feraia and Memorial Park), Lower Mīkdostan (within Qeligrad), Prismia (within Qeligrad), Siqqelostan (within Qeligrad), Söten Asarqita (within Qeligrad), Tentoshyktá (within Central Shyktaria), Srawlia (within Latsiania), Tomdaki (within Rhenia, Chovery, Garimia, and the Usoxai), Upper Mīkdostan (within Qeligrad), Welyiminia (within Nû-Endaeriê), Klyn (within Qeligrad), and Yiminograd (within Nether Village and the Usoxai).
1936: Nyrian explorations in the dimension of Nätr establish the Nether Territories (Nether is an old name for Nätr), described as comprising “the lands surrounding the centre of the Nether lands, the newly constructed platform, portal, and road, and finally including the peninsula south of our road.” At the same time, the dimension of Qanað is explored and the End Territories are established on 29 April (End is an old name for Qanað), consisting of the central island (Qanaðia) and surrounding areas (Risibahhya Island and Quleð Ring), the Nyrian-built station of Itharya, and six cities across Qanað. The six Qanað cities become the states of Ðöhharya, Zekarya, Neðrya, Amaďenta, Ulbatya, and Hhünan Korus, while Qanaðia and Itharya form the End Territories. Čivüla and Smaragdyn become part of Nyria. The Xanadu Party of Nyria, Unionist Party of Nyria, and Communist Party of Nyria (today: Communist Alliance) are founded.
1937: Ffanaia and Kanaghia, which are owned by Nefaquia, join Nyria.
1938: The Nether and are fully integrated into Nyria on 23 August, bein gpromoted from colony to state. The remaining End Territories—Qanaðia and Itharya—are also integrated as a state, with both Qanaðia and Itharya becoming special districts within the End Territories. Nyria invades and annexes Tssawaqia, which is merged with the newly created Esaqorqafia Stateless Area. Amogenburg and Lussunwa and Prilia are both promoted to special districts within Esaqorqafia, as is Tssawaqia. The Tssawaqians adopt Protestantism. Germans and Russians quickly outnumber the Tssawaqian population. Asgard is heavily criticised for this, as the Tssawaqians have previously already agreed to unification, leading many people to call his bombing campaign an attempted genocide.
1939: The Purpurinseln (13 January) and the Psahlinseln (6 July) are discovered and settled by Nyria, both becoming states. Limmerinsel is also discovered and is incorporated into Nordküste.
20ᵗʰ Century
1940: The first presidential election is held. President Message Lesbianmore of the Xanadu Party is elected and replaces the transitional government. Lesbianmore declares the name “Popistan” to be “colonial and exclusionary” and officially renames the country to Nyria. Throughout the early stages of his presidency, his native Maqav eventually becomes the lingua franca of Nyria. The Nyrian shechl is implemented. The stateless areas are given statehood on 15 December.
1941: Swaggians settle in parts of Tomdaki. Siqqelostan, Mīkdostan, and Co̊qelistan are reëstablished as states after they vote to split from Qeligrad on 9 September.
1942: Ķikera is reëstablished as a state on 7 October, splitting off from Town Centre.
1943: Lesbianmore is reëlected.
1944: Ruoa Ježirdja becomes the President of the Nether Village Autonomous Region, establishing the Nedr Liberation Organization and declaring independence from Nyria. The Nedr Republic becomes isolated and little information travels between it and Nyria.
1945: HaAdarah, the Ecologist Party of Nyria, the Conservative Party of Nyria, the Western Reformist Party, the Socialist Liberation Party, the Eastern Nyrian Autonomist Party, the Social Democratic Party, and the Nedr Liberation Party are formed.
1946: Lesbianmore is reëlected. The first group of Jewish refugees from the Levant, commonly known as ex-Israëlis, arrive in Nyria.
1950: The ethnonationalist End Village Liberation Organization (ELO) declares Nû-Endaeriê an independent nation, leading to the start of the Nû-Endaeriên War on Apartheid between state and federal forces and the ELO.
1951: Tétshenyka gains statehood from Cisvyshtia on 27 January.
1952: Lesbianmore is reëlected.
1954: Nyria adopts a new flag, replacing the previous Ossetian-inspired colonial flag.
1958: Lesbianmore is reëlected.
1960: Milonaia becomes a Nyrian colony. Welyiminia votes to split from Nû-Endaeriê as a state on 7 November.
1961: Nyrian forces capture ELO leaders, ending the Nû-Endaeriên War on Apartheid; remaining members dissolve into the smaller Northern Enderia Liberation and Cleansing Movement in Welyiminia and the New ELO in End Village.
1962: “Einigkeitshymne” is adopted as the national anthem of Nyria. Yiminograd, which is under full Nyrian control, becomes a state on 29 November, despite the Nedr Republic still claiming part of its territory.
1963: A wave of Românian immigration to Vajiße occurs, founding the city of Sudului.
1964: Lesbianmore is reëlected. Tssawaqia becomes a state on 7 July. The Reformist Party is founded by Theodor Mallaway, advocating for libertarianism and statehood for special districts. It is particularly popular in his home special district of Jarharat.
1965: The Smaragdines in the Nedr Republic declare independence as the Republic of Svirna’izjumerija under the Army for the Liberation of Svirna’izjumerija. The Nedr Republic declares war on ALSI and begins a genocide of Smaragdines, Tomdaks, Asarqitans, Eomorists, and Popis. Slimlimland becomes a Nyrian colony. Around 3,000 Polynesians from many different countries migrate to Neuwestfalen, founding the town of Kolo Mamaʻo.
1966: In 1966, Êmor Paϑaju from Qanaket is sent as an explorer to the dimension of Casorme. Jarharat becomes a state on 6 June.
1967: The dimension of LMSN is discovered and Popi explorers found the cities of Nowilia and Leyingen–Maschenheim there, while Smaragdine explorers found the city of Sljazhopikakhska. Nyria takes control of Slime Ship in Qanað.
1969: The dimension of Ṫanea is discovered and Smaragdine explorers visit. They do not settle in the dimension, but the Nyrian government does allow the Humans living there to visit and move to Nyria and recognises Ṫanea as a nation.
1970: Lesbianmore is reëlected. President’s Lair becomes a colony of Nyria as Lesbianmore’s private archipelago.
1971: Nyria declares war on Vilafuvē after the discovery of genocide against Setohsans and Popis. Setohsa declares itself a part of Nyria. The war lasts for 4 months, after which, Nyria installs a new leader in Vilafuvē, with Setohsa gaining autonomy within Vilafuvē, which the Setohsans accept. The Southern Ocean Coälition is formed.
1972: Another failed intervention occurs in the Nedr Republic, however, Ježirdja was captured and later executed, leading to the transition of power to his daughter, Lenja Ježirdja.
1974: Akania becomes a Nyrian colony. Polish missionaries who live in other countries due to communism briefly visit Akania, but do not settle there and return to their countries of origin.
1975: Unionist Governor Niklas Stein is elected in the state of Rhenia, starting a genocide against the Tomdaks, Volhynians (Swaggians), and Rusyns. As a result of his régime, a famine breaks out in the Rhenia-administered part of Tomdaki. Tzakenistan gains statehood.
1976: Lesbianmore is reëlected.
1977: Stein is removed from power in a coup carried out by the Federal government. Tomdaki gains statehood, and Edakiya and Neuwolhynien vote to split from Tomdaki.
1980: The Hink–Bùbra Canal between Stanìča in Tomdaki and Tarafia is constructed. Gzapsilia becomes a state on 8 April. Later that year, on 15 December, all remaining special districts—Amogenburg, Fxaralja, Gint, Haffnalich, Hrm-Rme, Itharya, Klyn, Lussunwa and Prilia, Prismia, Qanaðia, Söten Asarqita, Srawlia, and Tentoshyktá—became states as the category was abolished.
1981: The ALSI–NLO War ends as the Nyrian government holds emergency elections on 18 December, resulting in the division of Nether Village into Nedarija and Svirna’izjumerija. Lenja Ježirdja is captured in the Bukur Shaskanov Asylum. Remaining NLO supporters found the Nedarija Liberation Front, which exists in exile in the US.
1982: Lesbianmore is reëlected.

1ˢᵗ Instance (2009)
On 21 February, the United States invades Nyria, deploying ships off the coast of Dsarich, Ŗana, and Haffnalich. Paratroopers are deployed into Nowoburg and other cities of the North. The ship Ķufița sinks 13 American ships off the coast of Ķikera. A bombing campaign of Nyria continues until 28 February, when the United States seizes the Keshuv.
On 1 March, the Nyrian flag is lowered in Wisserlsheim’s Republic Square (today called Message Lesbianmore Square), while the national anthem plays. The US flag is raised, accompanied by the American national anthem. The occupation government insists the right-hand salute be performed to the US flag; however, the people refuse and instead perform the Nyrian left-hand salute. Nobody reportedly sings along to the American national anthem. The flag ceremony marks the official transition of Nyria from a sovereign nation to a United States territory. The new government, under the leadership of Governor Ronald Brown, removes the “terrorist” classification of the NLF, ELO, NELCM, and CGLA. American propaganda begins infiltrating every aspect of Nyrian life; however, it sees little success. Said propaganda is largely focused on American media, with the purpose of forcing the American lifestyle as the new norm. It also serves to replace the established Nyrian diversity and tolerance with American “culture war” narratives and de-normalise queer identities and ethnic coëxistence.
On 8 March, the first protests occur against the occupation régime across the country. The American police violently stop the protests in Nowoburg, while in Weizburg, soldiers are deployed into the protests.
On 12 March, gunfire occurs between police and protestors in Üschern.
On 13 March, the President of Söten Asarqita, Ƣa’ar Vuzuq, gives a speech condemning the US occupation of Nyria and their support for CGLA.
On 24 March, thousands of volunteers begin protesting at the Keshuv.
On 29 March, Luke Marshall Thomson, the head of the occupation government army, is assassinated by the protesters.
On 3 April, the Keshuv is raided by 4,000 protestors. The occupation government retreats and Nyrian independence is restored, with Lesbianmore resuming the presidency.

On 9 May, the biggest and most historically significant Victory Parade was held in Wisslersheim. On 20 May, Svobodshchina was reörganised and Eiríla became a member. On the same day, the road connecting Harats’ Port to Harats’ proper, which was constructed and maintained by Nyria, was officially made part of the country. On 2026, the word “eretz” officially replaced the word “state”. On 31 May, Isla las Estrellas was bought by Nyria from WD for 5 million shechlot, becoming an eretz.

However, every translated version remained official for its respective language.
Politics
The current ruling party of Nyria is the Nyrian Socialist Party under President Tsei Avlixa.
Administrative Divisions
Nyria is a federal nation made up of 159 eretzim (singular eretz; ערץ, plural ערצים; formerly known as states) of equal autonomy. Most eretzim are further divided into rrayonim (singular rrayon; רּיון, plural רּיונים; known as mitsy (singular mits; міц, plural міцы; formerly known as counties) in Milonaia and known as lėnis (singular lėn; formerly known as tribal areas) in Slimlimland; formerly known as districts), although some eretzim, due to small size or population, are not divided and act as a single rrayon. According to eretz law in Milonaia and Slimlimland, the rrayon-level subdivisions in these eretzim must be referred to as mitsy (Milonaia) and lėnis (Slimlimland) respectively, not rrayonim. On the third level, there are komunot (singular komunah; כומונה, plural כומונות; formerly known as communes), divided between midinot (singular midinah; מידינה, plural מידינות; formerly known as cities) and kfurim (singular kfur; כפור, plural כפורים; formerly known as villages). The eretz governments appoint kfurim as midinot, and kfurim must have at least a hospital, a school, a school for the disabled, and a place of worship for all recognised religions (often interfaith worship houses) before being eligible for midinah status. Most eretzim and rrayonim have a capital, known as a yedinah (plural yedinot; יִידינה, plural יִידינות). Most yedinot are midinot, however, the status is not limited to midinot, and there are also kfurim which function as yedinot. Some komunot, called re’ishim (singular re’ish; רעיש, plural רעישים), are closed communities that require a special permit to enter.
Before the current system was adopted, Nyria had seven types of first-level subdivision: state (Bundesstaat), stateless area (Restterritorium), autonomous region (autonomes Gebiet), territory (abhängiges Gebiet), Qanað city (Stadt im Ende), autonomous republic (autonome Republik, used exclusively for Smaragdyn), and extradimensional state-level territory (außerdimensionales Gebiet auf Bundesstaatsebene, used for the former Nether and End Territories). Each first-level subdivision was further divided into districts (Rajon, known as міц (county) in Milonaia and эштат (federal state) in Smaragdyn) and special districts (Spezialbezirk), with special districts being a subdivision type between the level of state and district that could span across state and district borders and maintain levels of autonomy similar to a state. Some special districts were reservations (Reservation), which, unlike regular special districts, were not split into multiple districts when crossing state borders. There were also colonies (Kolonie), which were semi-independent areas under Nyrian control, and they were later called territories (Territorium).
Elections
Voting in Nyria has been mandatory since independence (however, there is an option to vote for no party). Nyria’s election system relies fully on the app haDunug (הדונוג, literally “the election”), Federal election app for direct democracy) app, which is required to be installed on the phone of every voting-age citizen. The app has frequent local and Federal votes, such as about border changes, language recognition, and even the Federal elections are held through this app. HaDunug only allows one account per citizen, making election fraud impossible. It also automatically notifies citizens when an election starts, and counts votes immediately without the need for manual counting, making Nyrian elections the fastest of any country. The government is required to comply with the election results and is not allowed to deny or modify them after they have been decided by the people. The voting age in Nyria used to be 18 but was reduced to 16 by Äffsinger. Nyria’s digital elections have been copied by all Svobodshchina countries, România, and Ukraine, each with their own national versions of haDunug. Since 2026, non-citizen residents from all other Svobodshchina nations are also allowed and required to vote. Nyrian citizens outside Nyria are also required to participate in elections.
Government apps
Nyria has multiple government-made mandatory apps (available on all mobile and desktop operating systems), which come preïnstalled on any Nyrian system. They include haDunug (הדונוג, “the election“) for elections (introduced 2015), haRe’ish (הרעיש, “the re’ish“) for re’ish permits (introduced 2005), haLemekh (הלמח, “the money”) for banking (introduced 2001), and haEn (הען, “the me”) for IDs (introduced 2010). All apps use the same haEn profile.
Military
The Nyrian Armed Forces are divided into five main branches: Ground Forces, Navy, Airforce, Space Force (shared with Padlia and Kerguelen), and Nuclear Forces. The ground forces are divided into the Ground Army of the Socialist Federal Republic of Nyria (SV), Rocket and Artillery Troops (RViA), Logistical Support of the Armed Forces of the Socialist Federal Republic of Nyria (MTO), Signal Forces of the Socialist Federal Republic of Nyria, Radio-Electronic Forces of the Socialist Federal Republic of Nyria (REB), Military Engineers of the Socialist Federal Republic of Nyria, and Railway Troops of the Socialist Federal Republic of Nyria. It also contains the Novorossian Guest Battalion. The Nyrian Navy (VMF) is divided by region: Northern Fleet (based in Ŗana), Shyktar Fleet (based in Lypapíle), Western and Marion Fleet (based in Tsetoxoro), Nû-Endaeriên Fleet (based in Casà), Vyankin Fleet (based in Kutteis), Green Fleet (based in Fatjechk), Smaragdine Fleet (based in Ginenseuntch), Southern Fleet (based in Prismenheim), Ranü-Xačarian Fleet (based in Fxaralja), and Panonian Fleet (based in Cxüla). There are also the Pōpa and Viziya Inland Sector (part of the Northern Fleet, based in Alamzy), the Yinmin Inland Sector (part of the Vyankin Fleet, based in Änakass), the Hink Inland Sector (part of the Shyktar Fleet based in Schwabenheim), and the Qeli Inland Sector (part of the Southern Fleet based in Qeligrad). For interdimensional affairs, there is the Antarctic Fleet (based in Ushuaia), the Näəterian Lava Fleet (based in Shozha), the Qanaðian Void Fleet (based in Qanaðia), the Northern GNA Fleet (based in Point Juli), and the Southern GNA Fleet (based in Czudiv). Other dimensions, which typically only house one or a few eretzim, manage their naval affairs with their other eretz military assets. The Nyrian Airforce (Aviators) used to include the Airborne Forces of the Socialist Federal Republic of Nyria (VDV) and the Air Support Forces of the Socialist Federal Republic of Nyria (PVO), which have since been promoted to their own branches independent of the five major ones. The Unmanned Systems Forces (VBS) also form their own branch. The Nyrian Space Force is divided into the Iovian Division and the Hyperborean Division. In 2026, the Martian Division was added, consisting of the cosmonauts who went to Mars. The Nyrian Nuclear Forces do not have further subdivision. The military also includes the Police of the Socialist Federal Republic of Nyria, Border Patrol of the Socialist Federal Republic of Nyria, the Nyrian Firefighters Association, and the Green Crystal (shared with Padlia and Kerguelen), the latter four of which, together with the Federal Ministry for Artificial Intelligence Research, are referred to as the Non-Military Branches of the Nyrian Armed Forces (NMBNAF). Russian is the primary language of the military (excluding NMBNAF). The military is centralised despite the otherwise federal system. Organisations such as ALSI or SPM were considered non-governmental paramilitary organisations but were dissolved at the turn of 2025–2026 due to the ban on all paramilitaries. Nyria’s military is fully volunteer-based and has a total of about 5 million active and reserve personnel. Schools include voluntary military classes beginning in ninth grade. Nyria, as well as most other Svobodshchina nations, does not allow paramilitaries. All paramilitaries (such as ALSI or the Troya Battalion) have been either dissolved or integrated into the army. The most famous former paramilitary is the Troya Battalion (officially: 31ˢᵗ International battalion “Troya” named after A. S. Pavlov; rus: 31-й интернациональный батальон «Троя» имени А. С. Павлова), an international battalion composed mostly of people from Ķikera and DPR, which fought in Donbass, New York, Boston, Nevada, and Darfur. It is seen as the successor to the DPR’s Sparta Battalion and was named after its leader, Arsen “Motorola” Pavlov.
Defence
Nyria is defended by the Emerald Dome, a mobile air defence system completed in 2025 following the Instances. It protects all territory in the NPK (and through that all entrances to the interdimensional eretzim), and smaller forms exist on Earth to defend Tierra del Fuego, Cecilienland, and Valdemar–Ŗafņa. Nyria is working on expanding the Emerald Dome to all other Svobodshchina nations.
Social Issues and Policies
Nyria is a nation founded on the idea of complete equality and protection of all minorities. This idea has been present since the founding of Nyrian colonies and is explicitly mentioned in the constitution in the opening sentence: “Every word in the following document applies to every person on the soil of the Socialist Federal Republic of Nyria equally.”. Education about the diversity of Nyria and its importance is mandatory in all schools. It is mentioned in both national anthems. Nyria maintains a clear boundary between social and political issues, making it different from the Western system of identity politics. Nyria’s social policy has been fully mirrored by both Padlia and Kerguelen and serves as the idealised framework that all other GAIC members should strive for.
Ethnic Rights
Nyria is notable for having 90 national languages, significantly more than any other nation. They were previously separated into “official languages”, “minority languages”, and “foreign languages with significant presence”, and were merged into one category by Äffsinger. All official documents must be available in all languages. The creation of new eretzim or redrawal of borders based on ethnicity is also common. While Maqav is the lingua franca, the government heavily encourages people to speak their own native language at home. Because of this, Maqav has not replaced any of the other native languages, and they are all prospering to this day. Meanwhile, mass media and the Internet is mostly in German (and perhaps Russian), and international media in English. To most Nyrians, Maqav is therefore their second language they had to learn because it is the language of government and sees little use outside of speaking to people in other eretzim.
Species Rights
Nyria’s non-Human ethnicities are equal citizens of Nyria and are treated the same way as all Human citizens. When Ffanaia joined Nyria in 1937, Nefaquians were given equal rights as Humans. In 1965, this was expanded to Slimes following the incorporation of Slimlimland. Since 18 August 2025, following the birth of η-1, Synthetic Persons are now treated the same as biological non-Human ethnicities. On 10 March 2026, after the integration of Kaßburg, the native Casormian species gained the same rights. On 5 May 2026, the framework was extended to Allays, Senenians, Lerotians, Mwinians, and Hepitians. Nyria’s species rights apply to all sentient species.
Religion
Nyria does not have an official state religion. The government lists ten religions as being native to Nyria: Catholicism, Protestantism, Orthodoxy, Sunni Islam, Shia Islam, Judaism, Siqqelism, Hinkelism, Hõqer, and Eomorism.
Sex Rights
Abortion is fully legal in Nyria and has been since 1935. The mutilation of intersex babies has been illegal since 1935. Since 2026, babies are only registered by numbered sex markers rather than assigned genders. Contraceptives, period products, and other sex-specific medical products are free.
Queer Rights
Nyria has had Federal marriage equality since independence. The possibility to change one’s legal gender has been present since independence, with the initial options being “male”, “female”, and “other” (divers, in Siqqelostan divers and qol, in Co̊qelistan divers and qo̊ol, in Ķikera divers and maģa, in Smaragdyn, Töf, and Sljazhopikakhska divers and ve’ach). A fourth option for intersex people was added in 1990, and a fifth option “none” was added in 2000. Nefaquians, who have different sexes than Humans, have their own markers, while Slimes and Synthetic Persons, who are sexless, usually choose the “none” option. On 7 March 2026, Nyria fully abolished gender markers in legal documents, replacing them with numbered sex markers depending on species. Polyamorous relationships have had full legal equality in Nyria since 2025, before which, this was only the case for people whose “culture or religion included the practice of polygamy”.
Indigenous Genders
Various cultures across Nyria have their own traditional gender roles. In Siqqelostan and Qêϑeʃ, there has long been an established category known as or qol. These are typically feminine or androgynous people who identify with some kind of third or absent gender and have a more intricate knowledge of psyche and spirituality. A similar category exists in Co̊qelistan, called qo̊ol, which are also feminine or androgynous in presentation and possess knowledge of psyche and Human connection. In Ķikera, there is a category called maģa, which are usually people who identify with multiple genders and have flexible presentation. In Smaragdyn, people of male sex who adopted a female presentation are called ve’ach (веӓч). The same category exists in Töf and Sljazhopikakhska, but not in other Smaragdine-majority regions.
Disability
Nyrian law requires all public businesses and institutions to include accommodations such as wheelchair ramps, screen readers, and braille signage. In 2025, Nyria officially added all sign languages, a standardised braille alphabet, and Wind Language to the list of national languages. Every midinah is required to have a special education school.
Animal Rights
Animal cruelty is punishable by law and all animal products in Nyria must be ethically sourced. Businesses are only allowed to operate after being given a government seal denoting ethical work procedures.
Prohibitions
Most drugs are outlawed in Nyria on a Federal level, excluding medical usage. Exceptions are cigarettes and alcohol, which eretzim, rrayonim, and komunot make the decision on. The only four eretzim that allow smoking are Smaragdyn, Kžira–Kıƶır, Söten Asarqita, and Srawlia. Many Nyrians go to Padlia to smoke. Nova Poltava is the only eretz in which vapes are sold. Cigars are less regulated, though not popular. Alcohol is prohibited by some jurisdictions due to religious reasons. Similarly, the legality of gambling is up for the eretzim to decide. Nyria prohibits the production and distribution of pornography by companies. This does not apply to drawn pornography. Prostitution is fully prohibited in Nyria.
Anti-Discrimination Laws
Nyria has strict anti-discrimination laws, specifically protecting nationality, ethnicity, species, orientation (sexual, romantic, platonic, æsthetic, etc.; also includes touch, sex, etc. stances), sex, gender, ontologic identity (“kin” identities), health (physical and mental conditions and neurodivergence), political beliefs, and age. Other forms of discrimination (based on occupation, level of wealth, or other categories) are punishable under the general anti-discrimination law. The legal name for this is “discrimination on the basis of []”, which is punishable by up to ₰60.000 or up to 12 years in prison. The same laws apply in all Svobodshchina nations in similar form.
Cultural Respect Policy
Nyria strictly enforces respect of all symbols representing political, national, cultural, religious, or social groups. This includes flags, coats of arms, and religious symbols, among others. Disrespect of these symbols, such as flag desecration or religious book burning, is punishable by up to 60,000₰ or up to 12 years in prison. This policy, known as the cultural respect policy, which has been exported to all other Svobodshchina nations. It has affected foreign companies and politicians on several accounts, such as food companies labelling the country of origin of a product with a flag on the packaging, which is considered unlawful due to the eventual discarding of the packaging, or politicians who have made offensive comments about other nations before. The same laws apply in all Svobodshchina nations in similar form.
On 20 October 2025, the policy was updated to allow the disrespect of symbols relating to unconstitutional or banned organisations. These actions are no longer punishable unless the symbols depict other protected content (such as religious texts on the flag of a banned group) and must only be marked with a sensitive content warning in media. Anyone who was punished for them was compensated, i.e. by repaying fines or ending prison sentences. This amendment was not without controversy, as it included the flag of Ukraine as an exception until 1 December, leading to people destroying Ukrainian flags in Nyria, causing backlash from Ukraine and Ukrainians in Nyria.
Environmental Protection
Nyria is entirely carbon neutral and sources a majority of its energy through wind, nuclear, and solar power. Nyria desposes of nuclear waste in the Qanaðian Void, as do the other Svobodshchina nations through Nyrian and Tütelistani territories in the dimension. Nyria uses exclusively hydrogen cars, which has essentially made the country inaccessible to foreign car companies. Littering is a highly punishable offence, with a fine of up to 50,000₰ if caught. Nyria’s environmental policies also apply to Padlia and Kerguelen. These factors make Nyria and its neighbours the cleanest out of all countries. Trash separation is mandatory, with the basic bins present in every residential area being: Biodegradables (brown bin), paper (blue bin), plastics (yellow bin), others (black bin), electronics (red bin), glass (green bin), fabric (beige bin). Recycling is also done mandatorily. Deposits are mandatory on items such as drink containers, and drinks are sold only in glass bottles or metal cans, not in plastic bottles.
AI Regulations
All AI-generated content is legally required to be clearly visible as such. Using AI-generated content in advertisements is not allowed. Using AI to generate pornographic content is not allowed.
Education
Education in Nyria is free and mandatory for everyone. Children attend kindergarten starting around age 2–3 and officially begin school at age six, going through elementary school (grades 1–4), and secondary school (grades 5–12). Secondary school includes juvenile universities, regular schools of higher education, and topic-specialised schools. After the completion of secondary school, students have the ability to visit universities (grades 13–16). Education is held primarily in the language most spoken in the area of the school, with Maqav being a mandatory subject (if not the primary language), and either German, Russian, or another language from the list provided by the school, as a mandatory second or third language. The education system in Nyria works the same in all eretzim, as well as Padlia and Kerguelen. School curricula are organised by up to 10 topics per subject (allowing for 1 topic per month if 10 unique topics are covered). At the end of each month, a quiz is held with 25 questions. The final grade in that subject for the year is calculated by the student’s combined score in all 10 quizzes in that subject. A grade of 110 and above is considered a passing grade. All assignments and quizzes are digital. If a student fails 3 or more subjects in a year, they have to retake the year. This system applies to all secondary school forms and universities. In elementary school, there is no grading system. Diversity Lessons is a special weekly subject from grades 3 to 6 developed in Nyria and exported to the other Svobodshchina nations. In it, children learn about other ethnicities, species, and religion (3ʳᵈ grade), queer identities (4ᵗʰ grade), disability and neurodivergence (5ᵗʰ grade), and veterans (6ᵗʰ grade), each with an interview at the end of the year. Homework does not exist. All schools fly the Svobodshchina flag, state flag of Nyria, flag of the eretz, rrayon, and komunah it is in, and rainbow and disability flags, as well as others if relevant (such as specific military flags for military schools). Schools (excluding universities) in Nyria start at 09:00 and end, at the latest, at 15:00. School holidays are at set dates for all eretzim: Winter break (second two weeks of December), spring break (second week of February), summer break (all of July and August), and autumn break (first two weeks of October), as well as public holidays of the komunah, rrayon, eretz, and Nyria itself. There is also the Personal Holiday system, which allows students and employees to select up to 10 personally significant dates on which they will not have to attend school or work.

Economic Policies
Nyria is ranked 1ˢᵗ in GDP with a GDP of 30.4 trillion USD. The GDP per capita in Nyria is 38,198 USD.
Work Time
The four-day work week is standard in Nyria, with the standard free days being Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. People generally work 6 hours a day.
Trade
Nyria’s main exports are agricultural crops such as hiyita, local berries, and wheat, followed by fish and minerals, mostly uranium, diamonds, and copper. Nyria does not import many things as it is largely self-sufficient. The little oil and gas the nation does use is imported from Iran, Yugra, and Yakutia. Nyria is one of the main trading nations in the GAIC. Aside from other Svobodshchina nations, all shipping to Nyria has to go through the Liberty Gates.
Currency
The national currency of Nyria is the Nyrian shechl (₰, NYS, plural shechlot; שכּל, plural שכּלות), also known as the Nyrian shekel in English. One shechl is divided into 100 agorot (singular agorah; אגורה, plural אגורות). One shechl is equal to €1.11. Additionally, Svirna’izjumerija and Gyodija historically had their own currencies, the Svirna’izjumerijan ruble (₽, рубль свирнаӥзюмерска, RNI, equal to ₰0.77) and the Gyodijan tyst (⬠, tyst gyodsj, GYT, equal to ₰4.00). They were discontinued on 1 April 2026.
Healthcare
Nyria provides free healthcare for all citizens.
Public Transport
All bus, train, tram, and portal bus transport is free inside Nyria. Additionally, portal buses to other Svobodshchina nations are also free, and are treated like domestic public transport. This model also exists in the other members of the alliance.
Essentials
Tap water and public fountains, electricity, heating, and Internet are free. All toilets must have bidets. If a citizen is not able to afford housing or a phone or computer (which is needed to participate in the mandatory elections), the government will buy it for them.
Geography (NPK)
Northern and Northeastern Nyria, particularly the Great Northern Plains, are the flattest part of Nyria. They have been an important feature throughout history, aiding in the expansion of cultures such as the Ķikeran and colonial Nyrian cultures. Central and Southeastern Nyria is very hilly. Features such as the Hills of Îrav’qlom and the Hinkel Hills have been known since the Siqqethic Period. The Far North and Smaragdyn are the most mountainous parts of Nyria. The highest point is Mount Vütu in Smaragdyn at 2,367 metres above sea level.
Water (NPK)
The Nyrian mainland is a massive island. There are 10 major seas in the NPK: the North Nyrian Sea, which borders Northern and Far Northern Nyria, containing features like the Ķikeran Bay, the Moss Bay, Insular Esaqorqafia, the Kernhofen Bay, and the Qanwa Bay. The Purpurinseln and Priliusinsel separate the North Nyrian Sea from the West Nyrian Sea, which spans the western coast of Esaqorqafia, the northern coast of Setohsa, Vilafuvē, and contains Gyodija. The Marion Sea, named for the Marion (Prince Edward) Islands, spans the southern coast of Vilafuvē and Setohsa and the western coast of Vajiße. The Shyktar Sea spans the southern coast of Vajiße, the Shyktar eretzim, and the western coast of Hinkelistan, containing the Bay of Shyktaria, Slīma, Kôshka, Transfer Island, and the Bay of Hinkelistan. The Ranü-Xačarian Sea surrounds Hrm-Rme, Ranü-Xačar, and Fxaralja, including the Fxaraljan Gap, which separates it from Čivüla. The Panonian Sea surrounds Čivüla and Tyxys, including the Panonian Gap, which separates the two islands. The South Nyrian Sea spans from Hinkelistan’s southern coast to the western coast of Svirna’izjumerija, containing features such as the Prismenheim Bay, Co̊qeli Bay, Mo̊gre, and the Smarskograd Bay. The Green Sea spans the southern coast of Svirna’izjumerija and Nedarija, and includes the Vichak Bay, Padlia and Smaragdyn, and the Jimomorskaja Bay. The Vyankin Sea spans the coasts of E’omor–Jomur, Yiminograd, the Usoxai, and southern Nû-Endaeriê, containing E’omor–Jomur, the Nû-Endaeriên Bay, Kerguelen, and Mèce. The Nû-Endaeriên Sea spans the northern coast of Nû-Endaeriê, Welyiminia, and the eastern coast of Ffanaia, containing the Nû-Endaeriên Islands — Casà and Mariupolskiy Ostrov — as well as the Yinmin Bay.
Nyria contains many rivers and lakes. Typically the major rivers are listed as the Pōpa, spanning much of the north and centre of the country, the Vysht (Vizija), a tributary of the Pōpa crossing major midinot such as Alamzy and the Nowoburg area, the Yinmin, connecting much of the eastern half of the country from Welyiminia to Nedarija, the Hink, connecting Southern Nyria, the Qeli, located in the Central Southern region, the Setos, connecting the Far West and West, and the South/Qõr-Re7, an isolated river in the southern reaches of mainland Nyria. Each river has many tributries, including the Ķkik, Üscher, and Latz (Pōpa), the Bùbra, Njahličrik, Zestula, and Dzajka (Yinmin), the Pqaf, Pəssar, and Dƶabüq/Xiyra Xi (Hink), the Bübka, Jugja, and Ljüwa/Qochla (Qeli), the Stöltsa (Setos), and Museum Creek (South/Qõr-Re7). There are also many smaller rivers, such as the Rárxa and Vília in Central Shyktaria, the Paff in Nordküste, and the Öghji in Kanaghia. Čivüla is home to the Lait River, while Tyxys houses the Piepel. Both Padlia and Smaragdyn also have their own water systems, including the Njets (Padlia) and Chkerka (Smaragdyn). Major lakes include the Sallinger See in Neuwestfalen, the artificial Airport Lake in Nordküste, the Ruby Lake in Pozdavia, the Krepper See in Shakhtaria, Minzer See in Vajiße and Lorezhia, and the many lakes in the Far North and Central South. Since 2020, all major rivers and lakes have been connected by various canals, with Ffanaia and Kanaghia being the only major gap, as there are no major rivers or lakes in the Northeast. Many of Nyria’s rivers are central to various cultures, with the Hink and Qeli being central to Siqqelism and Hinkelism, the South/Qõr-Re7 housing various historical sites from the Hrmian settlement of mainland Nyria, and the Bùbra and Njahličrik area housing many major Tomdak midinot.
Biomes and climate
A majority of mainland Nyria, as well as the Purpurinseln, the Psahlinseln, and Ranü-Xačar consist of temperate forests and dirt fields, with elevation generally getting higher towards the south, where terrain is more hilly compared to the flat north. The INY region, Padlia, and Svirny Smaragdyn consists of taigas. Southern and Zlitsy Smaragdyn consists of tundras and mountains. The Central East and East Coast regions consist of grasslands and fields. Esaqorqafia, the areas south of the Hink, Northern Vilafuvē, Gyodija, and central Lorezhia and Vajiße consist of temparate plains. Tssawaqia and the southern part of the Far West consists of temperate steppes. Eastern Central Setohsa and western East Setohsa are home to mainland Nyria’s only desert, the Äraxaßa Desert. Nätr is a firey dimension with seas of lava and little water. Qanað is a barren dimension of floating islands in an endless void.
Dimensions and Interdimensional Travel
Nyria controls territory in the dimensions of the NPK, Earth, the GNA, Pošia, Nätr, Qanað, Randomistan, Hwrynia, Ṫanea, Casorme, Everdawn, Everbright, and Space. A majority of Nyria, as well as all of Padlia and Kerguelen, is concentrated in the NPK. Travel to all dimensions (excluding Space) is available at all interdimensional ports. Travel through a portal is done inside a special vehicle called a portal bus, which can house up to 200 people. The portal bus functions by simply driving through the portal after the destination has been selected from a list of all portals. Portal buses are not allowed to drive outside of interdimensional ports and do not take part in regular traffic. Interdimensional ports may also include regular air traffic, in which case, they are called interdimensional airports. The implementation of Casormian Waystones (which utilise wormhole travel) significantly improved the transportation, making travel more accessible. Interdimensional ports and portal buses were renovated to fit the new infrastructure. In the past, only a few airports had interdimensional portals, and separate neighbourhoods (which often became their own midinot) were built to house them. Historically, access from Earth to the NPK was limited to the Southern Ocean portal, located in international waters halfway between southern Africa and Antarctica. Through this portal, the first Georgians, the Russians, and later the Americans arrived. This portal leads to a location in the North Nyrian Sea, north of the Ķikeran Bay. In 2026, Nyria secured the area with the construction of the two Liberty Gates.

The Nedr, Smaragdine, and Padlian peoples, along with Serbs and Russians, follow Orthodoxy, while the Slovenes, Firelanders, and Portuguese follow Catholicism. The Siqqeli and the Popis of Jo-Siqqelostan follow Siqqelism, while Hinkelistan and Jimson follow Hinkelism. The people of E’omor–Jomur and the Hrmians still follow their local religions, Eomorism and the Hõqer religion respectively. Chechens follow Sunni Islam and Azeris follow Shia Islam, while the Tzakeni are Jewish. Some Nyrian peoples, such as the Setohsans and Tomdaks, traditionally do not follow any religion.
Culture
Nyria is an incredibly diverse nation. A common element celebrated by many of the over 70 cultures of Nyria is a sense of connection to their homeland and history.
An important element of modern Nyrian cultural identity is the unity between all Nyrian peoples. This can be seen in the Nyrian national motto, Сила в нашем единстве (Strength in our unity).
Holidays
Nyria celebrates many religious holidays depending on the region and culture, including both indigenous and Abrahamic religions. The New Year is always met with large celebrations. Independence Day and the Day of National Unity are the most important holidays in Nyria.
Art
The most well-known Nyrian art is the Siqqethic-era murals found in southeastern and eastern Nyria detailing various scenes of Siqêϑy and other important figures. Other historical art sights include the Hrm-Rme petroglyphs and the Shyféa cave paintings.
Modern Nyrian art is best described as a mixture of European styles and influences from the respective native Nyrian culture.
One of the most important contemporary Nyrian art pieces is the photo of the Saint George flag flying over the captured Empire State Building, along with similar photos of soldiers from across Nyria and the UPR posing with their regional flags on the building.
Music
Nyrian music varies widely based on region. Patriotic and folk music is popular across the country, with many regions having their own regional anthems. The most popular instruments are the accordion and the joler.
Literature
Nyrian literature is not widely known outside Nyria and its neighbours. Important historical writers include Ķufe, Franz-Walter Ickelburger, and Zhiul Parašidja.
Origin Mythos
The most popular origin mythos for Nyrian unity is as follows: “In 1821, a German, a Russian, and a Jew came to Nyria. The German came because he wanted to see new lands and start over his life. The Russian came because he wanted to escape the poverty that came with a king. The Jew came because he finally wanted a place where he is seen as equal. When they arrived, they met a Ķikeran who taught them to live together.”
The Founding of Utopia statue in Ŗana is dedicated to the story.
Mass Media
Nyria’s television and radio network is connected to those of Padlia and Kerguelen. The main national television network, broadcasting in every language, is haRishon (הרישון, “The First“). It has many subsidiary channels, including entertainment, news, and children’s programmes. There are a large amount of regional channels broadcasting in different languages.
Nyrian radio follows a similar pattern.
Until the 1970s and 1980s, there were not many local channels in Nyria, however, today, every midinah and eretz has multiple TV channels and radio stations specialised for language, adult and children’s programming, genre, etc.
Cuisine
Nyrian cuisines vary based on region and culture. Foods eaten throughout the country include the Popi cake and variations of the schnitzel. Other notable cultural dishes include the Smaragdine lawk, a dish made from eggs and silver-coloured liqueur, the Asarqitan əððöp, a wrap made from a bean–tomato–beef mixture called tö’öpə, and the Co̊qeli do̊nqora, a stew made from venison and Mīkdo golden berries.
Sports
The most popular sports in Nyria are football, archery, and badminton. The Nyrian Games are an annual event made up of several local sports, most famously including mite racing. Nyria also participates in the Interdimensional Cup and the Olympics. Parts of Nyria, particularly Smaragdyn and the INY region, also have a large gun and hunting culture.
